Suggested red velvet cake sponge recipe using a premix

Red velvet cakes are the trend today.

There are several ways to make a sponge cake with a premix, by adjusting the water and oil levels depending on the texture you like. A typical recipe and making procedure will as below

Ingredients

  1. Eggless Red Velvet Cake Premix — 1000 grams
  2. Water — 500 grams (500 ml)
  3. Oil 100 grams (Sunflower Oil / Canola Oil, based on availability)

Procedure

  1. Add water and premix into a bowl and mix at low speed for 1 minute
  2. Whisk at high speed for 4 minutes
  3. Add Oil and whisk at slow speed for 1 minute
  4. Bake at 170 to 180 degrees for 35 minutes
